Kick off your trip in the birthplace of renaissance art, haute couture fashion and the Tuscan T-bone. Florence, we’re coming for ya!

Renaissance beauty meets Italian style. Explore the streets of Florence with a local guide today. Florence has more stories than Bilbo Baggins, more culture than a Shoreditch hipster, over 1,800 restaurants and it gave the world gelato. Say ciao to cheeky David and strut along the Ponte Vecchio, gelato in hand. Later, delve into a higher state of culinary consciousness.

Start off the day with a tour of the walled-in town of Lucca. Then, it's on to Pisa to get the shot with that famous tower. Final destination: the stunning Cinque Terre for a feast together at a local restaurant.

The five cliff-side villages of Cinque Terre didn't end up on the World Heritage list for nothing. And each has a vibe of its own. Completely void of corporate development and full of quirks, this is a place where la dolce vita is not so much encouraged as enforced. And it comes with a world-class glass of red. Not bad, huh?

Cruise Lake Garda, the largest in Italy, before rolling on to Verona where Romeo fell in love with Juliet. Set off on a walking tour to get your bearings. Tonight: time to explore the city on water and to tuck in to a local Venetian meal.

You know it as The Floating City, but this place is actually sinking (slowly). Today we’ll check out a who's who of Venice's usual suspects on a guided walking tour (ticking off the likes of St Mark's Square and Accademia Bridge), then we’ll jump on a gondola ride. Throw away your map in the afternoon and try to find the world's most epic little bookshop, Libreria Acqua Alta, or just go on a mission to find the perfect gelato.

Today there’s a pit stop at the hilltop town of Orvieto to see the grand cathedral and dig into a wild boar panini. Next: All roads lead to Rome. End your day in true Italian fashion: at a local trattoria. It’s been emotional.

Make it an espresso doppio this morning - you're on your own from here. Rome wasn't built in a day so why not spend a few more and get to know this ancient powerhouse a little better?

Ready to kick off your trip in the birthplace of renaissance art, delicious gelato and the Tuscan T-bone? Yeah, you are! Florence, we’re coming for you...

First today: a local Chianti wine tasting and an al fresco dinner in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Then: Renaissance beauty meets Italian style. Florence has more stories than Bilbo Baggins, more culture than a Shoreditch hipster, over 1,800 restaurants, AND it gave the world gelato. Say ciao to cheeky David, then strut along the Ponte Vecchio, gelato in hand.

Bye, Florence! This morning it’s on to the walled-in town of Lucca for a walking tour. And after that? It’s onwards to Pisa for THAT shot with the famous Leaning Tower. We’ll hit up stunning Cinque Terre for a feast together later on this evening.

We’ll spend some time cruising Lake Garda (the largest lake in Italy) before rolling on to Verona – where Romeo fell in love with Juliet. A walking tour will help you get your bearings! Tonight: time to explore Venice, where a delicious dinner awaits.

You know it as The Floating City, but this place is actually sinking (slowly). Today we’ll check out a who's who of Venice's usual suspects on a guided walking tour (ticking off the likes of St Mark's Square and Accademia Bridge) before rounding things off with a traditional gondola ride. Need suggestions for this afternoon? Insider tip: spend some time seeking out the epic Libreria Acqua Alta bookshop (or just go on a mission to find the perfect gelato).

Orvieto is next. We’ll check out the grand cathedral and dig into a wild boar panini before hitting the road back to Rome. End your day in true Italian fashion: in a carb-induced coma at a local trattoria. It’d be rude not to!

You're on your own from here. Why not spend a few more days in this epic city and get to know it a little better?
